Alcorn summer camps scheduled for June, July
It’s summer time, which means students from surrounding areas will be making their way to 91°µÍø to participate in the University’s fun filled summer camps.
The camps will kick off with the inaugural AG Academy Camp from Wednesday, June 1 to Thursday, June 30. The camp is an agricultural and technical training camp for youth ages 6-12. Attendance cost for camp enrollment is $375. Alcorn men’s basketball head coach, Montez Robinson, will host the for participants ages 6-18 Monday, June 6 to Thursday, June 9 and Monday, June 13 to Thursday, June 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The camp is for area basketball players to learn fundamentals, advanced skills and techniques of the sport. Registration for the camp is $150 per participant.
Braves football head coach, Fred McNair, will host the 2016 Fred McNair Braves Football Camp for participants ages 6-18 at the Alcorn football practice field Saturday, June 11 and Friday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. With the camp, McNair will help young football players improve their fundamentals and technique. The 2016 High School Summer Band and Dance Team Camp will be held Sunday, June 12 to Friday, June 17 for students grades 7-12. The camp will give students an opportunity to interact with each other while participating in exciting band activities. Enrollment fees for resident students are $275 and $200 for off campus students.
Alcorn invites students to attend the Advanced Technologies Summer Camps at the Vicksburg campus Monday, June 6 to Friday June 10 and Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 17. The camps will proceed to the main campus Monday, July 5 to Friday, July 8 and Monday, July 11 to Thursday, July 14. The camp is for students grades 2-12. The registration fee is $100 per participant. Registration is open until Monday, May 30.
Come learn a new language with the Office of Global Programs during their Russian Summer Language Institute Tuesday, July 5 to Friday, August 5. Registration is open until June 15.
