Alcorn Department of Education and Psychology faculty accepted into post-doctoral program

Dr. Tabitha Smith, assistant professor in the Department of Education and Psychology, was recently accepted in the National Directors Credential Program, a post-doctoral program for early childhood education emphasis. The program is a comprehensive 120-hour program divided into泭nine modules, and an entity of the Mississippi Child Care Resource & Referral Network (MSCCR&R) housed at Mississippi State University.

I look forward to being a part of this intensive program that focuses on early care for children and is designed to ensure that each individual receives quality child care information, said Dr. Smith. What I like about it, is that the training for educational professionals is facilitated through seminars and workshops that also engage parents, children, and the community.
